Some customer has a question: “I have bought China bamboo flooring and intalled it 3 months before. Now there is creaking from the planks when people steps on them. Please let me know what the problem is and how to solve the problem.”
Our answer:
There are several possible reasons for the creaking:
1. The beam is not flat. The beam should be processed to be flat before installation. The planks will be put on the uneven subfloor if the beam is not flat enough or even the process hasn’t been done. Creaking happens on the planks after installation accordingly
2. The beam hasn’t been fixed firmly. The right way to fix the beam to punch with electric hammer first, insert wooden stopper, and then fix the beam with staple. Some installer nail the beam with staple directly. And the beam get loose after some period.
3. The staple quality is no good. The maple nailed on the beam don’t work well after some period. Then the beam is fixed firmly.
In case of creaking, you need to take apart the floor and install it again with right way.
